Tambour reimagines the traditional tambour mechanism as a horizontal plane rather than a vertical one. The intent is to enforce a clear workspace on the user while retaining access to storage beneath, opened via the tambour table top.

A horizontal tambour tabletop mechanism providing concealed storage beneath a clear, functional workspace.
The tambour mechanism, traditionally used vertically in rolltop desks and cabinets, is reworked here as the table's own horizontal work surface.
Sliding the tabletop open reveals storage underneath, encouraging the user to keep the surface clear while keeping what they need close at hand.
